Mr. Hampton is an Ave Maria Parishioner and member of the Knights of Columbus; his wife Becky is the Director of Religious Education for Ave Maria Parish. He and Becky are the proud parents of three adult children. For the past four years, he was the Associate Director of Athletics at Ave Maria University. Mr. Hampton led the donor and sponsorship engagement for AMU Athletics and oversaw the AMU Booster Club, which saw record growth and participation under his leadership.

Mr. Hampton is also an award-winning video storyteller and he produced a weekly show that showcased the university and athletics. Before moving to Ave Maria, he was a longtime sportscaster in Indianapolis and the Director of Production for the Indianapolis Colts. During the Colts 2007 run to the XLI Super Bowl victory, Mr. Hampton hosted the Bill Polian (Colts President and GM) TV show and the television and radio post game shows. Mr. Hampton was also involved in city government, serving as a two-term city Councilman in Noblesville, IN, where he served as President in 2020.

Mr. Hampton is delighted for the opportunity to return to his roots in Catholic Education and to serve Donahue Academy – which has been the foundation of this growing community from its inception – in a capacity that can make a huge difference in the town of Ave Maria and in the landscape of Catholic, classical education at large.
