Dr. Graham graduated in 1995 from Stanford University with an honors degree in humanities. While at Stanford, he met and studied with René Girard, who was a major factor in his conversion to Catholicism. Dr. Graham then completed a religious studies master’s degree at Syracuse University in 1998 and a pastoral theology degree through Ave Maria University in 2010. In 2023, he completed and successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in a Girardian interpretation of Msgr. Luigi Giussani’s pedagogy; he has also published widely in journals such as Homiletic & Pastoral Review, The Imaginative Conservative, Contagion, and Religion. He is also the editor of Gravissimum: The Catholic Classical Journal as well as an adjunct professor at Ave Maria University. Dr. Graham has been a high school teacher and coach for over a quarter century and is in his 15th year teaching at Donahue Academy. He and Mrs. Graham currently have four of their six children attending the school from Grades 6 to 11, with two graduates (’22, ’23).
