Our parish school, Donahue Academy, brought home yet another set of trophies. The Diocesan STREAM Initiative held its inaugural Lion Cup Robotics Competition this fall. All parish high and middle schools were invited to compete and 23 teams from 13 schools rose to the occasion. Donahue Academy fielded two teams, one in the Middle School division and one at the High School level. Going head to head against their peers at other diocesan schools., some of which have regularly scheduled robotics classes, our students aptly demonstrated the advantages of a classical education.
Drawing on the lessons learned in the Grammar, Logic and Rhetoric stages, our students won the Lion Cup, the Middle School team took first in their division, the High School finished second and won the Utilitas Award for their custom-built robot. Way to go!
