Susan Jasso, M.S.

Mrs. Jasso has a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education/Family Studies and Human Services and a minor in vocal music from Kansas State University. She is a Florida certified teacher and holds Florida PreK–3 and Music K-12 specialty certifications. After stepping in as the Grade 1 teacher at Donahue Academic in the 2024-25 academic year, she is grateful to return in a role that brings together her passion for music, education, and Catholic formation. Mrs. Jasso and her husband (Dr. John Jasso at AMU) have seven children (four at Donahue) and one grandson. She has served in liturgical music for many years as a cantor, choir member, and soloist at weddings and funerals. In her classroom, students explore music through movement, song, instruments, games, and traditional hymns. She aims to nurture not only their musical skills, but a deeper love for God and His beauty.
