Parent Teacher Association

The Donahue Academy PTA is comprised of a dedicated group of parents, teachers, and staff working together to ensure positive development for the school community within Christ, while encouraging parental involvement, school support, and community building. Toward this end we help with coordinating “room parents” to assist teachers with projects and events, assisting with coordinating volunteer efforts at the school such as field trips and special school events, and with either arranging or supporting community building activities.

We are always at hand to lend a hand to this wonderful community! We would love to have you join us or answer any questions you may have about how the school. Please feel free to contact any of us.

Who is on the PTA?

Mrs. Rachel Lanham’s daughter, Marie, attends Donahue Academy.  She has been an active volunteer and participant at Donahue since Marie enrolled.  She currently is the secretary of the PTA board and volunteer lunch duty on Tuesdays.  She is an active runner and golfer.  She moved to Ave Maria from the Chicago area 4 years ago and is excited to serve the Donahue Academy family.

Mrs. Brigid Luzarraga joined the PTA as Treasurer in 2018.  She, her husband, Josh, and their four children moved to Ave Maria from New York in 2017.  Three of their children attend Donahue.  Brigid is happy to be involved in helping the students and families of Donahue Academy and in being a small part of the school’s mission of pursuing excellence in all things.

Mrs. Jana Patterson has been a Donahue parent and resident of Ave Maria for three years.  Jana has six children who all currently attend Donahue.  Jana’s family moved to Ave Maria from Washington, DC where her husband took up the position as Head Football Coach at AMU.  She looks forward to getting to know all the families and to serve our Donahue community.

Mrs. Danielle Soltis moved to Ave Maria four years ago with her family. This will be her fifth year involved with the Donahue Academy and her second with the PTA. Danielle is also on the Teen Subcommittee for the town as well as the Couples Who Care Marriage Ministry for the parish. Currently she is a stay at home mother to a son in 6th grade and a son in 10th grade.  Both boys attend the Donahue.
