Meet Donahue Academy’s New Admissions Director

School welcomes Mrs. Rosa Argudo to its staff.

Mrs. Rosa Argudo is originally from coastal Ecuador, where a warm climate and strong sense of faith and family shaped her upbringing. Mrs. Argudo was raised in a close-knit family where the values of unity, service, and devotion were central pillars of daily life. “My Catholic faith has always guided my personal and professional decisions, inspiring me to seek communities where faith is lived openly and shared with others,” she said. This lifelong quest brought her to Ave Maria and Donahue Academy this past fall.

Mrs. Argudo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and a Master’s degree in Communication and Public Relations from the University of Barcelona. After several years working in the corporate sector, she felt called to serve organizations with a deeper human and spiritual mission. As a result, she subsequently worked in nonprofit and Catholic settings, including a Catholic parish serving university students, where she supported community life, administration, and outreach. “My foundation in faith began in Catholic primary school, where I first developed a deep connection with God. I still fondly remember the sweetness of the nun who taught me, a memory that acted as a quiet seed within me. Even after years of navigating various secular and non-Catholic educational environments, it was that very foundation that eventually led me back to it. Now, as a mother, this appreciation has only strengthened; I truly see Catholic education as a transformative force that anchors our future and shapes who we become,” she said.

When Mrs. Argudo moved to the United States, she first settled down in Montana. Though she enjoyed its natural beauty, she relocated to Florida to be closer to family and was drawn to Ave Maria for its strong Catholic identity, family-centered culture, and supportive faith community. “From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported, confirming that Donahue Academy is the right place to continue my vocation of service. I am grateful to be part of a community where faith, education, and family life are deeply connected,” she concluded.
