Mr. Fulmer holds B.A. degrees in History and Philosophy from Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas, and an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Marymount University, Arlington, Virginia. The son of a teacher, Mr. Fulmer was practically raised in a school building, and teaching middle schoolers brings him great joy. Prior to returning to the school building as a teacher, he worked in politics at both the federal and state levels with former U.S. Senator and Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, first as his driver and eventually as his Chief of Staff. While living and working in Washington, DC, he met his wife, Lidiya Zubytska, who is now Chair of the Politics Department at Ave Maria University. Mr. Fulmer and his wife live in Ave Maria with their four daughters, all of whom attend Donahue Academy. The Fulmers are members of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, a Byzantine rite in full communion with the Pope, and pray constantly for a just end to the war in Ukraine.
