Mr. Luzarraga has directed the Shakespeare productions at Donahue Academy since 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from Georgetown University. Following graduation, he was accepted into the acting company at the Shakespeare Theatre at the Folger in Washington, D.C., where he performed on the main stage and received advanced classical training. Mr. Luzarraga later taught English and Drama at the Loomis Chaffee School before earning his Juris Doctor from Columbia University Law School. He has practiced law for more than two decades. He and his wife, Brigid, relocated from Brewster, New York, to Ave Maria in 2017 with their children — Aidan (’21), Maddie (’22), Vivian (’25), and Elsie. Mr. Luzarraga is pleased to be directing theater again, working with actors and the production crew to make Shakespeare’s plays accessible and enjoyable for modern audiences.
