Ms. Karlau began volunteering at Donahue in 2014. Beginning in 2016, she started volunteering in the Karen Laub-Novak Library and, since 2021, has been Donahue’s part-time Librarian. Ms. Karlau loves to foster in students a love of books and of reading, and she makes sure the Library offers the best in literature, history, science and other genres. She has an “open door” policy, and students are encouraged to make new book requests any time, which she can almost always supply. Also in 2021, Ms. Karlau began substitute teaching at Donahue. She has been a substitute teacher in every single grade. Despite each grade insisting that they are her favorite, she enjoys them all, including the Logic Stage! In 2024, she began assisting Dr. Fabii with College Counseling responsibilities. Ms. Karlau holds a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in Clinical Psychology.
