Donahue Academy recognizes that parents are a students’ first teachers, and our goal is to partner with them in forming students in faith and intellect so that they become young men and women with the wisdom and courage to follow God’s purpose for their life. Community & Culture Nights are designed to strengthen this partnership by fostering discussion and understanding of Donahue’s unique Catholic, classical model. Each evening begins with wine and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a student performance and a presentation by a faculty member on one of the three foundations of the classical trivium.
This partnership is further cultivated at “C&C Relaxed” evenings throughout the year, where parents host and present on topics related to education and parenting. These events give parents the opportunity to socialize, think about and discuss meaningful topics, and support each other as parents and members of the Donahue community.
We require parents of all students newly enrolled in Donahue Academy to attend the three Community & Culture Nights. Returning parents are also encouraged to attend. All new and returning parents are invited to attend our C&C Relaxed evenings.
