Two New National Merit Honorees
October 10, 2022

Our parish school was recently notified that our list of National Merit Honorees has grown by two. Andrew Graham was named a Semi-Finalist and Michael Long received a Commendation.
The top 50,000 students in the nation who took the PSAT last year are being honored by the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. Of these top 50,000 students, 16,000 are named as Semi-Finalists and 34,000 are Commended. All these students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success and represent a valuable national resource. Recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role our school plays in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence.
As a Semi-Finalist, Andrew Graham is now eligible to advance to Finalist standing by meeting a number of additional requirements. Finalist determinations are made in the Spring.
We hope this recognition will help broaden Michael and Andrew’s future educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue to live out the Donahue Academy mission of encountering Christ and pursuing excellence in all things.
