We’re in the News, TWICE!
August 22, 2022

Donahue Academy, our parish school, was on the front page of the Florida Catholic! Mrs. Grabowsky’s 2nd Grade class brightened the day of all who saw their smiling faces on the cover of the Diocesan newspaper’s Back-to-School edition. These saints-in-the-making are happy and excited to learn.
Every month, our students celebrate First Friday with Adoration and Benediction. Because school started after the First Friday in August and in keeping with our mission of encountering Christ and pursuing excellence, our entire High School adored our Eucharistic Lord on the First Friday of the Academic Year. That same day, our students celebrated Fr. Vidal’s Birthday with song and popsicles after Mass.
Our Boys Football team made the morning news. You can see the Fox 4 piece, which includes comments from players and Coach Dcn. Kinnick, on Fox 4’s website.
Wednesday, August 31st is the first Community & Culture Night of the year. The evening begins with refreshments and social time at 6:30pm in the school library. School Principal, Dr. Guernsey, and Vice Principal, Dr. Snyder, will each deliver a talk defining the Donahue difference and the High School Choir will give a brief performance. Don’t forget to contact the school office if you would like to take advantage of the free, on-site babysitting offered for the evening. The event is free and open to all members of the parish. We hope to see you there!
