Feast of the Assumption
August 16, 2022

The academic year is off to a great start at Donahue Academy, our parish school. Tomorrow is the Feast of the Assumption and a day off of school for all students, we hope everybody grows closer to Our Lady as they celebrate this special day.
Our Junior class will be on retreat Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. Please remember them in your prayers as they begin their penultimate year of high school.
The first Community & Culture Night of the year is coming up later this month at 6:30pm on Tuesday, August 31st at the school. Community & Culture Nights educate parents in the strong Catholic identity, unique classical curriculum and particular Ave Maria culture of Donahue Academy. The first evening provides an overview of Catholic, classical education and defines the Donahue difference. School Principal Dr. Guernsey will begin the evening with his keynote, “Catholic and Classical: An Unbeatable Duo.” His remarks will be followed by a performance from our High School Choir and the evening concludes with Vice Principal Dr. Snyder’s address, “Classical Education: Recovering the Tradition.”
This event is open to the entire parish community and there is no fee to attend. All families new to Donahue Academy are required to attend. Free, on-site baby sitting is available. Please contact the school office if you will be brining children who need to be babysat.
