2022 Baccalaureate Mass
June 13, 2022

Our parish school, Donahue Academy, recently celebrated the graduation of 14 students comprising the Class of 2022. Graduation Day began with a Baccalaureate Mass in our parish. The main celebrant was Fr. John Belmonte, Superintendent of Catholic Education of the Diocese of Venice, assisted by our own Fr. John Andem and Dcn. Thomas Kinnick. To mark our town’s special love of Our Lady, the ceremony began with each student placing a rose at the feet of Our Lady.
At the conclusion of Mass, everybody proceeded to the school gym where the commencement ceremonies took place. Class Salutatorian Winston Fairchild and Valedictorian Catherine Graham each addressed the assembled friends and families before the students were awarded their diplomas by Principal Dan Guernsey.
We wish our graduates well!
Donahue Academy is seeking help with our high school PE classes for the 2022-2023 school year. Class runs from 2:30pm to 3:20pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is a paid position.
The school is also in need of a bus driver to take students to and from events throughout the school year. This position requires a CDL and willingness to travel throughout Florida. The school will provide the bus.
We also have a full-time lower grade aid position (with benefits) still open as our school continues to expand.
