2022 May Crowning and Procession
May 2, 2022

Our First Communion Second Graders led the school in our annual May Crowning Procession from Donahue Academy to the Parish Church. As the school processed, we all prayed a rosary led by Michael Long, president and founder of our Pro-Life Club.
Once at the Church, our Choir led the assembled school and parish in a lovely rendition of “Bring Flowers of the Rarest” while students presented their own flowers to Our Lady.
After everybody was in position, six of our First Communicants carried Our Lady’s flower crown up to Fr. Vidal who blessed it. Deacon Kinnick then brought it over to Our Lady so she could be crowned.
From start to finish it was a wonderful opportunity to honor Our Lady at the beginning of her month.
