Short Week – Big News

Thank you to everyone who made our St. Joseph’s Day celebration such a success. Special thanks to Donahue Academy’s PTO and Office Administration for organizing everything and working behind the scenes to ensure everybody could properly honor the Patron of the Universal Church.
Our parish school’s high school track team has been to several meets this season. The students have been running, jumping, relaying and shot putting in keeping with Donahue Academy’s mission of pursuing excellence in all things. They have earned a number of Top 3 finishes in their events and routinely finish in the Top 10.
Congratulations are also in order for our Model UN team. Competing against schools up to 30 times larger than our own parish high school, our students earned three Honorable Mentions and contributed greatly to the overall discussion in their respective committees. As the head coordinator of the Southwest Florida Model UN said, “The fact that three [Honorable Mention] papers come from Donahue is something everyone should be incredibly proud of.”
This Friday is the Feast of the Annunciation. In observance of this important date, Donahue Academy will be closed. We wish all our students and families a happy, holy holiday.
