Grandparents Day Is Coming

February 28, 2022

As part of its mission to prepare students to encounter Christ and pursue excellence, our parish school, Donahue Academy, holds an annual Grandparents Day celebration. This year’s Grandparents Day is Friday, March 4th and includes a continental breakfast, performances by Donahue Academy students, Mass, Benediction and Adoration. Sign-in begins at 7:45am in the school lobby and the scheduled program starts at 8:00am.

Because intergenerational relationships are very important for the transmission of the Faith and aware that many grandparents are unable to attend similar celebrations largely due to distance, Donahue Academy’s Grandparents Day is open to all grandparents living in Ave Maria, even those who do not currently have a grandchild attending the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for all grandparents in the parish to see how the Faith is being taught to the next generation of faithful Catholics, particularly in the unique paradigm of a classical school. It also offers today’s Catholic youth the chance to see the Unity of Faith through time.

The event is free to attend for all, including Honorary Donahue Academy Grandparents. An RSVP is not required, though appreciated so we can have enough food and seating on hand. Please email [email protected] if you are planning on attending.

Our students look forward to seeing you on Friday, March 4th!
