Donahue Academy’s next Community & Culture night is Wednesday, February 9th 6:30pm-8:00pm in the school’s library. This session focuses on the Elementary School Grammar Stage and features Mrs. Linda Fox’s keynote, “Building a Foundation on the Cornerstone.”
As usual, the evening includes refreshments and snacks, remarks from a Donahue Academy parent and a student performance. Our new music teacher, Mr. Trenton O’Neil, will lead our Kindergarten through Second Grade students in a medley of songs.
If you have not been able to come to one of our parish school’s Community & Culture nights, don’t miss this opportunity to learn the Why behind the What of our Catholic, classical school.
This Saturday, January 29th, is the 12th Annual Sunshine State Steak Cook Off. The largest championship steak grilling contest east of the Mississippi, the event draws thousands of people to downtown Ave Maria for food and fun. The fun kicks off at 2:00pm on Saturday and dinner is served from 5:00pm-6:00pm.
If you haven’t purchased tickets yet, it’s not too late! Tickets for a 16oz boneless ribeye steak are available at the Donahue Academy office and online at SunshineStateSteakCookOff.com All proceeds from the event benefit Donahue Academy.
