Hometown Christmas and Our Lady of Guadalupe!

December 5, 2021

The students at Donahue Academy, our parish school, worked hard to take part in the Hometown Christmas celebration. From decorating the Donahue Academy float to putting on the Christmas play, students of all ages chipped in and took part in the festivities. We hope you enjoyed the evening.

On the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary Donahue Academy processed from the school to the parish carrying a statue of the Blessed Mother. Now, the parish has the opportunity to return the favor and process from the church to Donahue Academy in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Next Sunday, December, 12th, is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Donahue Academy is hosting a gathering in the school gym.

The event begins with Mass at 4:30pm in Spanish at the church. After Mass, we’ll all process to the school where we will celebrate this great Feast Day with singing, dancing and traditional foods. Let us all look to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, as St. Juan Diego did and call her “My very beloved Lady” that she may, in turn, call us, “My dear son.”

We look forward to honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe with you next Sunday!
